Illinois Fair Track Records Begin Taking Shape — Morrison Records Posted
HarnessTube has begun compiling the best-known harness racing track records for Illinois county fair tracks, and the first set of records has now been posted.
The records for the Whiteside County Fair in Morrison are now available on the site and represent the best information currently available based on documentation and community submissions.
A big thank you goes out to Gabe Wand, who has already provided several records and documentation to help get this project started. Contributions like his are exactly what will help build a reliable public record for Illinois fair racing.
Because many historical track records were originally published in race programs, magazines, and record books that are not widely available today, it would take an enormous amount of time and expense to reconstruct every record mile from scratch. Instead, HarnessTube is building a public framework that can grow over time through community submissions and verification.
